“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ..” Do these words sound familiar? This is the greeting that Paul, Jesus’ apostle, used in many of his letters to the churches that we find in our New Testament. Look what he says with these few words. Grace refers to the amazing love that God pours out on his children through the Holy Spirit. John Wesley described means of grace—opportunities for God to pour out his Holy Spirit on us—including Holy Communion, Bible study, and worship together.
